it&#039;d be interesting to know what the case before the court was. if i pulled the hd out of a server and transferred the data via usb to an un-connected machine then whatever that data is from what you are saying has no protection from a dpa type law. there&#039;d be no point in having such a law if this is the case. the machine could be made to have no internet network capability and could be logged through a com port to verify this. better than usb a wardrobe full of 15k cradled drives processing data for whoever needs/wants to circumvent the legal and is willing to pay for the service. could be a nice earner.</description>

That was because, due to a server error in handling blog edits I was forced to delete and rewrite the post.
